Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 90% of its metal finish. The finish is thinning at some edges, most notable at the leading edges and corners. There is some light erosion on the edges of the trigger guard and at the muzzle-end of the barrel and its lug. The sides of the hammer have light surface oxidation. There are spots of light oxidation around the edges of the cylinder flutes. The action shows operational wear including a thin turn-line on the cylinder. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver is in Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder locks up with no play on each chamber with the trigger depressed. The double action trigger is smooth, the single action is crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: None.

Our Assessment: The Diamondback is essentially a shorter framed Python both in the cylinder and grip frame, sharing similar aesthetic dynamics and is no less striking in appearance and mechanics than its predecessor. The model was offered in .38 Special as well as .22 Long Rifle, like this one. This revolver retains about 98% of its finish, sporting a bright, sharp bore and solid cylinder lockup. Those familiar with the Python line understand the accuracy these revolvers are capable of, this one should prove to be no different. This will make for a great shooter or a nice addition to a Colt revolver collection. Please see our pictures and good luck!
