Markings: The top of the barrel is marked “SAVAGE MODEL 25 22 HORNET CALIBER / SAVAGE ARMS INC, WESTFIELD, MA. 01085 USA” and Savage’s two-line safety warning message. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number “VS12238”. The bolt is marked “SAVAGE” and “2238”.

Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights on this rifle. The top of the receiver is drilled, tapped and installed with a two-piece mount with 1” rings holding a Simmons 3-9x32mm scope with a duplex reticle. There are some light handling marks on the scope body. The scope glass needs a light cleaning.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is one-piece laminated wood featuring a ventilated forend, right-handed thumbhole grip, Monte Carlo style comb with cheek piece and contoured rubber buttpad. There is no notable wear or damage, just light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 1/2” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The buttpad has no notable wear. The stock is in Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is no notable wear or damage, just light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with a Simmons 3-9x32mm scope as described above and one (1) 4-round magazine with intact feed lips and strong follower spring.
