Our Assessment: This is a Ruger New Model Blackhawk Bisley that has been customized by JRH Advanced Gunsmithing. Originally chambered in .44 Remington Magnum, it has since been re-barreled and re-cylindered to fire the .475 Linebaugh. The .475 Linebaugh is an extremely potent rimmed revolver cartridge developed by John Linebaugh in the late 1980s. The cartridge is based on the .45-70 Government case cut down to 1.4 inches and loaded with .475-inch-diameter bullets weighing from 320 grains to 440 grains. The cartridge is short enough to fit the frame of the Freedom Arms Model 83 and, while not a factory offering, the Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk. This one looks sharp with an octagonal barrel, unfluted cylinder, and Bisley grip frame. This revolver can be used to hunt just about any animal you’d like to hunt with a handgun and can also be used to put a big f***ing smile on your face while you shoot your bad ass f***ing revolver. Please see our photos and good luck!
