Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “SIG SAUER”, “MADE IN GERMANY” and “P232 SL”. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number “S 263 597” and has a German proofmark. The right side of the slide is marked “SIGARMS INC. / EXETER-NH”, “9mm kurz” and features three German proofs including the date code “AF”.

Sights/ Optics: The front sight is a blade with a tritium lamp in the rear face fixed to the top of the slide. The rear sight is a dovetailed square with two tritium lamps. The lamps hold a dim glow in low light environments. The slide is serrated to reduce glare.
Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The grips are two piece black textured plastic panels that envelop the back strap. The right panel is marked “SIG SAUER” and the left is marked “P232”. There are some handling and storage marks but nothing noteworthy. The checkering remains sharp. There are no cracks in the grips. Overall, the grips are in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright. The rifling is sharp. There is no erosion. There is some fouling in the grooves.
Overall Condition: The pistol retains about 98% of its finish. There are some scattered handling and storage marks. Notably, the polished portions of the slide show some faint scratches. The screwheads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall the pistol is in Fine-Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The slide to frame fit is snug. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, it may need a thorough cleaning to meet your maintenance standards.
Box Paperwork and Accessories: This pistol comes in a blue matching Sig Sauer case with three 7-round magazines.
Our Assessment: This SIG Sauer P232 SL is a Semi-Automatic pistol that takes .380 ACP rounds. The pistol can be dated to 2005, coming from a run of Stainless Steel P232s which were discontinued in 2014.
