Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore, just light fouling in the grooves.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 96% of its metal finish. There are some slightly thinned edges on the sides of the slide. There are two notable impact marks on the back strap with some thinning. There are some tiny nicks on the sides of the frame. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun is in about Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The pistol has a smooth double action and crisp single action trigger pull. The slide is slotted to the inside of the frame, making for a superb mating of the two items with barely perceptible play. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in its original serial matching box with paperwork including the manual and test target and three15-round magazines. Please note, no magazine will be included for buyers who reside where it cannot be legally transferred.

Our Assessment: The CZ 75 has been a prized handgun for decades. Czech firearms have been renowned for their quality at least since WWII and Ceska Zbrojovka has continued to provide high quality firearms since 1936. The model 75 has an interesting slide-in design in which the slide moves on inside of the frame rather than the outside like most semi-automatic pistols. This means that the slide-to-frame fit is nice and tight and the reciprocating mass is greatly reduced. It also allows the bore axis to be brought down some. All of this combined with the 9mm cartridge and all-steel construction makes for a very gentle shooting firearm. This example is an earlier production pistol made in 1985 before the “B” designation was applied to indicate the firing pin block which was added to the safety in 1998, before Czechoslovakia dissolved in 1993, and has early CZ75 features including rounded trigger guard and spur hammer. This pistol is in fantastic condition for a pistol designed and sold as a utility self-defense pistol which is now 37 years old. Please see our photos and good luck!
