Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “Para Hi-Cap”. The right side of the slide is marked “WARTHOG”. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number and “PARA-ORDNANCE INC. / FT. LAUDERDALE FL.”. The top of the barrel is marked with the Para logo and “.45 ACP”. The bottom of the dust cover is marked “MADE IN CANADA”.

Sights / Optics: The slide is mounted with a two white dot “Novak” style rear sight with a one-dot front sight, both are dovetailed into the barrel. The rear sight is serrated and also has a set screw.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered plastic with a Para-Ordnance logo on each grip. There are no major defects, just light handling wear. The grips rate in about Excellent condition.
Type of Finish: Covert Black Para Kote & Stainless with Alloy Frame
Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion but there is some stubborn fouling in the grooves.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 95% of its original metal finish. The balance of finish shows handling and storage marks with finish loss along some of the sharp edges and corners. There are a few little nicks and scuffs through the finish. The markings are clear. The screw heads have strong sockets and the markings are clear. Overall, this pistol rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in a serial number matching green Para case with five 10-round magazines and paperwork including the manual.
Our Assessment: This is a compact single action 1911 style pistol that uses double stack magazines that hold 10 rounds. The pistol has a 3” barrel, stainless-on-black finish, and is chambered in .45 ACP. This pistol is just the right size for concealed carry: not too big but not too small to absorb the recoil from its .45 ACP rounds. The pistol is also great for home defense. Its three-dot sighting system and crisp single action trigger make for a fast, accurate first shot. The 10 round magazines for this pistol should give you all the firepower you will ever need, but if you don’t live in California, you can buy P14 high capacity mags if you don’t mind them sticking out the bottom a little… Please see our photos and good luck!
