Our Assessment: This is a vintage pre-1964 Winchester Model 70 Standard Rifle sporting an aftermarket Al Biesen 24” heavy barrel that is chambered for .30-06. Also attached is a vintage J. Unertl optic. The rifle appears to have seen responsible use in the field, retaining about 95% of its metal finish with light wear in the stock, a great bore and strong mechanics. Ammunition for this rifle is typically readily available in a variety of loadings and makes for a wonderful hunting rifle. Whether you’re looking to add to your Winchester collection or just want a great hunting rifle, this will be a great gun to add to any safe in America. Please see our photos and good luck!
