Our Assessment: This Fabrique Nationale Mauser was made in Belgium. It has been transformed into a Custom Sporting Rifle that can be used as a Guide Gun (lightweight rifle, heavy caliber). It has been rebarreled in .375 Holland & Holland, refinished and dropped into a custom stock. The .375 H&H is one of the most useful all-round rifle cartridges, suitable for a variety of game animals and is a favorite among game guides in Africa and Alaska. A variety of loadings are available with lighter bullets suited to longer shots on small-medium game and heavier bullets that can be used on thicker-skinned and dangerous game. In many regions with such dangerous game animals, the .375 H&H is seen as the minimum acceptable caliber, and in many places (primarily in Africa) it is now the legal minimum for hunting such game. This is a Great looking Sporting Rifle with a strong bore that shines and should serve its new owner well. Please see our photos and good luck!
