Overall Condition: This gun retains about 98% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows the slightest of drag lines on the cylinder and a very tiny mark or two on the bottom of the trigger guard. The Screw heads are sharp, possibly unturned. The markings are crisp. Overall, this gun rates in about excellent condition, with very little evidence of use, carry, shooting or even storage. This gun was cared for.
Our Assessment: Is there a better double action revolver? Simply, no. A 6″ blued python is the staple of the industry; the Double Action Revolver that every other Double Action Revolver tries to be. That said, there is only one Colt Python, and if you’re reading this, you understand… The gun is in great condition and will serve your collecting / shooting purposes exceedingly well. The only way a California resident can obtain this great gun is by a private party transfer – which we offer on this one.
