Markings: The barrel is marked “CAL 9MM LUGER”. The right side of the slide is marked “MADE IN BELGIUM / ASSEMBLED IN PORTUGAL”. The right side of the trigger guard bow is marked with a Belgian Crown over “PV” proof. The underside of the trigger guard is marked “AE174”. The front face of the grip frame is marked “245NV68591”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a rounded blade fixed to the slide. The rear sight is U-notch dovetailed into the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The two piece Ivorene grips feature an oak leaves and scroll design as photographed. The grips exhibit almost no evidence of use and rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish and little evidence of handling is apparent. The front and rear sights, hammer, trigger, slide lock, safety and magazine release are plated in 24 karat gold. An oak leaf design is visible on both sides of the frame and slide. The top of the slide also displays a ribbon design which reads “THE / AMERICAN / EAGLE / BROWNING / RENAISSANCE / HI-POWER”. An American Eagle emblem is also present on the top of the slide. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly and features a magazine safety disconnect. We did not fire this handgun.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in its original gray plastic Browning case. The case exhibits almost no marks from being used. A label is affixed on the left end of the case which reflects the model, finish and serial number of the pistol. The label is split along the junction between the lid and floor of the case and is peeling at the ends. Form fit compartments for the pistol and a magazine are present in the interior of the case. A plastic bag containing a Browning Owner’s Manual is held to the lid of the case in two slots. The manual is in Excellent condition. A Certificate of Authenticity from the American Historical Foundation confirms that this pistol is one of a limited production run of 750 commemorative pistols manufactured worldwide. The certificate is in Fine condition. The pistol is equipped with one 10-round magazine with a plastic floor plate in Excellent condition.
Our Assessment: This Browning American Eagle Renaissance Hi-Power commemorative was issued in 1995 to honor American Freedom. One of only 750 produced worldwide by Fabrique Nationale in Belgium and assembled in Portugal, this Hi-Power is adorned with 24 karat selective plating in a lovely oak tree design with an American Eagle emblem on the top of the slide. The white plastic grips also present an oak leaf design. This pistol is in Excellent condition, exhibiting almost no signs of handling and retaining 99% of its metal finish. It is equipped with one 10-round magazine and comes in its original Browning case with a Certificate of Authenticity and original Browning Owner’s Manual. The American Eagle Renaissance Hi-Power commemorative is a striking tribute to American Freedom and a wonderful collectors’ piece.
