Our Assessment: On offer here is the adjustable sighted cousin of Colt’s legendary Single Action Army, the New Frontier Single Action Army. While the original SAA revolvers have rugged, fixed sights, the New Frontier has a ramped front sight and adjustable rear sight, giving it a rather contemporary appearance. This example is an “L” prefix New Frontier, only made from March-September of 1974, sporting the less common 4.4” barrel and hard rubber grips. This New Frontier model comes with a .22 LR cylinder, perfect for plinking or taking care of pests in the yard, as well as a .22 Magnum cylinder. This example is in Fine condition with a great bore and strong mechanics. The finish throughout is strong and beautiful showing some evidence of limited and responsible use. This should make a fun little plinker for the lucky winner. Please see our photos and good luck!
