Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “CAL. 270 Win. MADE IN FINLAND” next to a Finnish proof. The left side of the receiver is marked “SAKO IV 951798” next to a Finnish proof mark. The bottom of the bolt handle is marked “798”. The right side of the barrel is marked “IMP’D BY STOEGER INC. WAYNE N.J.”.

Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. Two Sako rings are equipped to the top of the receiver for mounting an optic (not included).
Stock Configuration & Condition: The gray synthetic stock is equipped with rubber grip panels on the forend and pistol grip and sports a capped pistol grip, monte carlo comb with a cheekpiece, sling studs front and worse, and a plain black rubber buttpad. The stocks show a few scattered light storage marks but no significant wear or damage. The LOP measures 13 7/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the black buttpad, which shows little wear. The stock rates in about Fine-Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows no significant wear or damage, only light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger is light and crisp. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes in its original serial matching box with paperwork including the manual, sling swivels, and two five-round magazines.
Our Assessment: The Sako 75 Stainless is a bolt-action rifle produced by the Finnish manufacturer Sako from 1997 until it was replaced by its successor, the Sako 85 in 2006, and finally discontinued in 2007. The Sako 75 was named after the 75 year anniversary of Sako in 1996, when the first Sako 75 was made. The Model 75 was externally very similar to earlier Sako models. This is a gorgeous rifle that is in about Excellent condition with a bright bore and strong mechanics. It comes in its original matching box with two five-round magazines and scope rings to get you started. Sako has a reputation for making quality, dependable hunting rifles and this one is no exception. Please see our photos and good luck!
