Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “PIETRO BERETTA”, “GARDONE V.T. – MADE IN ITALY”. The left side of the frame is marked with the serial number and “CAT.11754”. The grip panels have the Beretta logo. The right side of the slide is marked “MOD. 87 TARGET – CAL .22 LR” above a safety disclaimer and is marked with the Beretta logo near the muzzle. The right side of the frame is marked “PB”, “BERETTA USA CORP. ACKK. MD” above Italian proof marks and a safety disclaimer.

Sights/ Optics: The front sight is a blade fixed above the muzzle. Also there is an adjustable screw-set square-notch fixed to the rear end of the barrel assembly.
Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The gun comes with two sets of grip panels. The installed grips are two-piece checkered wood with smooth borders and finger grooves on the left panel to accommodate a right handed shooter. The grips have some light handling marks but lack any notable defects. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the wood grips are in Fine-Excellent condition. The gun also some with its original checkered black synthetic grips. The black synthetic grips are checkered with smooth borders, but they have no finger grooves. The grips have some light handling marks, nicks and scuffs. Overall, the original grips, which are not installed, are in Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and has sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: The pistol retains about 90% of its metal finish. There are a few scattered light handling marks, nicks and scuffs. Notably, the integral accessory rail at the top of the barrel assembly has some black paint painted over several areas that had finish loss (likely from an accessory being installed and later removed). The markings all remain clear. The screwheads are unmarred and serviceable. Overall, the pistol is in Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box Paperwork and Accessories: There are a total of two 10-round magazines, a MTM Case-Gard 808 black synthetic carrying case with foam padding, the grips described above and a metal tool included with the handgun.
Our Assessment: The Beretta Model 87 was a popular target handgun when it hit the market and remains a well crafted ergonomic option. The gun has a pleasing aesthetic and exudes the fine craftsmanship that is typically seen on Beretta products.
