Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q.”. The right side of the slide is marked “MADE IN BELGIUM / ASSEMBLED IN PORTUGAL”. The barrel is marked “CAL. 9mm LUGER” and “245NY51026. The front strap is marked “245NY51026”. The right bow of the trigger guard is marked with a Belgian proof mark. The right side of the barrel lug is marked with a “* / F” inspection mark and a Belgian proof mark. The bottom of the firing pin housing is marked with a proof. The bottom of the barrel lug is marked with a “4” in a hexagon. The left side of the barrel lug is marked “E”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a patridge blade with a white square on the rear face that is dovetailed to the slide. The rear sight is a square notch with two white rectangles that is dovetailed to the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered black synthetic panels with serrated shelves on either side. The grips show only some light marks along the bottom edges and the checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips rate in about Fine-Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 98% of its metal finish. The right side of the slide shows a few scattered marks with some light thinning along the edges. There are a few other sparsely scattered handling marks. The slide stop has taken a faint plum hue. The action has minor operational wear. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are clean. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in about Fine-Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger is crisp. The magazine disconnect has been removed. There is hardly any play between the slide and frame. We have not fired this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with two 15-round magazines and a brown leather Triple K holster. Please note, no magazine will be included where prohibited by law.
Our Assessment: The Mk III Hi Power made its debut in 1988. It retained the extended, ambidextrous thumb safeties seen on the Mk II, but the barrel bushing was nearly flush with the front of the slide. The Mark III has a great feature set: a receiver of machined steel with a black epoxy finish, a 4 5/8″ barrel, and high profile fixed sights. This example was manufactured in 1992. This is a beautiful pistol with about 98% of its original finish in about Fine-Excellent condition. The bore is bright and the trigger is light and crisp. It comes with a nice Triple K leather holster and two 15-round magazines to get you started. Please see our photos and good luck!
