Our Assessment: This is a modern Colt Blackpowder Model 1854 Whitneyville Marine Revolver. The gun was released in 1997 and is a handsome tribute to the United States Marine Corps. Leathernecks will appreciate that the back-strap is marked “Semper Fidelis” the USMC’s motto and it is beautifully finished with gold plated parts, a silver barrel and silver frame. The gun was from a very limited run with a total of 950 manufactured in total (this is the 318th one in the series). This is an impressive collector’s item that will certainly appeal to leathernecks and Colt fans alike. Good luck on your bid!
