Our Assessment: The Model 939 was H&R’s attempt to re-enter the target pistol arena and it remained a popular plinker and devastator of small game and varmints. This pistol is an early 1st variation featuring a patented push button cylinder release on the hammer that was NEVER offered on any other H&R revolver and was discontinued from the Model 939 in 1965, never to be heard from again. If you’re the type of person who likes rare innovations that tried to do things in a different way, do NOT let this handgun slip away! Good luck in your bidding.
