Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “PATENTED APR.20,1897. SEPT.9,1902 / DEC.19,1905. FEB.14,1911. AUG.19,1913” and “COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. / HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.” with a Rampant Colt logo behind the slide serrations. The right of the slide is marked “MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY”. The right of the frame is marked with the serial number. The left of the frame is marked “UNITED STATES PROPERTY” on the dust cover and “JM” circled in “G” above the magazine release after inspector J.M. Gilbert Lt.Col., USA Colt Revolvers and M1911 .45 Pistols 1917-1918. The top of the chamber is marked “P” and “H”, the right side is marked “-COLT 45 AUTO-”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a white dot recess. The rear sight is a Bo-Mar flat topped “U”-notch that is fully adjustable and is dovetailed into the top of the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are smooth off white synthetic panels with colt medallions. The grip screws are custom engraved with “Colt”. The grips show no significant imperfections, only light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. The grips rate in Excellent overall condition.
Also included are the original checkered wood panels which show no significant wear. The checkering is sharp. The original panels are in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is light operational wear. Otherwise, there are no noteworthy imperfections, only light handling wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp. Overall, this pistol rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The slide is tight on the frame. The action functions correctly. We have not fired this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in a soft case marked “FIRST AID KIT” with two 7-round magazines with Wilson Combat flooplates, original internal parts, and invoice list of customizations, and the original grip panels.
Our Assessment: The 1911 and 1911-A1 pistols served the military of the United States from 1911 to 1985, through two World Wars and the Korean and Vietnam wars. They gained a reputation as a reliable handgun with plenty of stopping power, and are held in high regard by those who have used them. This is an Action Works customized WWI reproduction of the original Model of 1911. This pistol features a chrome and black ion bond finish, Harrison match trigger, and a Bo-mar low-mount rear sight, just to name a few things. The pistol is in Excellent condition with only a hint of operational wear. It was manufactured in 2008 and customized in 2018. This is a gorgeous and unique piece that you won’t want to pass up on.
