Our Assessment: This is a beautiful Weatherby Custom Shop Mark V that was manufactured in Japan by Miroku and is chambered for the .460 Weatherby Magnum. The .460 Weatherby Magnum is primarily a thick skinned dangerous game cartridge designed to provide the ultimate in stopping power against African elephant, African buffalo, hippopotamus and the rhinoceros. When loaded to its full potential, it has little use outside this primary use – although it can be used to hunt any species, there are far better cartridge choices for other game animals. This rifle has an excellent bore and a clean, light trigger. After a thorough cleaning to remove the built-up grease, it will appear in much higher condition. Please see our photos and good luck!
