Markings: The top of the barrel features a Ruger two-line warning. The left side of the barrel is marked “17 HMR”. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number “702-81687”, “RUGER 77/17”, “®”, and a Ruger proof mark. The grip cap and buttpad are marked with a Ruger logo. The bolt is serial-matching, hand-scribed with “81687”.

Sights/Optics: There is no provision for iron sights on this rifle. There is a rib on the receiver for the included Ruger optic rings that have attached a Leupold VX-1 3-9x scope with butler creek protective caps. The scope body is largely free of wear, but there are a few minor nicks scattered about. The glass is fairly clear, and overall, the scope is in Fine condition.

Stock Configuration and Condition: The stock is one-piece green laminate wood with semi-pistol grip, straight comb, and black rubber buttpad. There are sling studs on the buttstock and forend. There are minor handling marks, but otherwise the  wood is free of any notable wear or damage. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP is 13 3/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The buttpad has only minor handling wear. Overall, the stock is in Excellent condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion, little specks of minor fouling can be seen dotted throughout.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is light operational wear, and minor handling wear including a few minor nicks on the receiver. The screws are sharp, and all markings are clear. Overall, this rifle is in Fine-plus-to-Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork, and Accessories: This rifle includes one (1) 10-shot rotary magazine and the scope as described above.
