Our Assessment: The Model 4566 is a 3rd generation Smith & Wesson with the barrel length and chambering of the classic Commander 1911, but with stainless construction, single and double action design, and some other updates in line with the 3rd generation line of handguns. This example is in Fine condition with a great bore and strong mechanics. If you’re looking for a single-stack .45 and you are used to the SA/DA action, this would be a great option, all you need to to is get some magazines. With that being said, it looks great and we are sure a Smith & Wesson collector would like to add this to their safe if they are yet to get one. Please see our photos and good luck!
