Markings: The left of the slide is marked “CHAMPION / CAL .45”. The right of the slide is marked with “SPRINGFIELD ARMORY” and the Springfield Armory crossed cannon logo. The right of the frame is marked “S.I. GENESEO IL USA / MADE IN BRAZIL-IMBEL / N564871”. The top and right of the barrel is marked “S.A. .45 AUTO”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated Trijicon blade with a tritium insert and is dovetailed into the front of the slide. The rear sight is a Trijicon lo-mount style sight with a square notch and a pair of tritium inserts, it is dovetailed into the slide and also has a set screw. The lamps have dimmed slightly but are still easily acquired in low to no light.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are replacement Pachmnayr grips with wood sections, checkered black rubber sections, and black rubber finger grooves. There are a few scattered light marks. There are no chips, cracks, rips, or tears. The grip panels are in Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. There are some scuffs, draglines, and a few little nicks. Some of the scuffs have caused smooth spots, most noticeable on the matte portions. Some of the most noticeable nicks are on the left side of the slide behind the serrations. There is a takedown mark on the left side of the frame. There are some scattered light handling marks. There is operational wear. The screwheads are sharp to lightly worn. The markings are clear. Overall this handgun rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: Springfield Armory has long been one of the finest producers of 1911-style pistols in America and this is no exception. This particular pistol comes packed with features such as angled rear slide serrations, extended beavertail grip safety, skeletonized hammer and trigger, serrated straight mainspring housing, and night sights. This example is in Fine condition and looks like it has seen pretty standard range use, all you need to do is get some magazines. This is a beautiful gun in high condition and would make an excellent addition to any collection, but where it will really shine is in your holster for carrying. Please see our photos and good luck!
