Our Assessment: Ruger introduced the Blackhawk in 1955 with the ‘Flat Top’ and ‘Pre-Warning’ versions paving the way to an inevitable evolution in the design; the New Model revolvers were designed with a Transfer Bar Safety, a measure taken to compensate for that pesky human error. This example is from 2014 and is notable for having a Bisley grip frame, which for a certain segment of the shooting world provides a far more comfortable shooting experience. The bore is mostly bright and with a 7 1/2″ barrel, you add a little bit of energy and direction to the .44 Remington Magnum cartridge. Mounting an optic is made easy with the included Ruger rings. Then your revolver hunt will get all the more fun. Good luck and happy bidding!
