Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q.”. The right side of the slide is marked “HI POWER / MADE IN BELGIUM / ASSEMBLED IN PORTUGAL” and behind the serrations with the Nighthawk logo. The bottom flat of the firing pin housing is marked “CIP / N” and “738”. The bottom of the barrel is marked “738”. The chamber is marked “CAL 9 mm LUGER”. The right side of the barrel lug is marked with a “CIP / N” proof and “* / F” inspection mark. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number and the left side of the trigger guard bow is marked with a “CIP / N” proof.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a gold beaded blade that is dovetailed to the barrel. The rear sight is a Heini serrated square notch that is dovetailed to the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The VZ grips are two-piece serrated panels with Nighthawk logos at their bottom rear. The front and back strap bark stipple texture. The grips show notable imperfections. The serrations are sharp and uninterrupted. Overall, the grips rate in about Excellent condition.
Also Included are checkered Nighthawk wood grip panels, also showing no significant wear, in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore but there is some faint fouling in the grooves.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is only light handling wear. The top and back of the slide is hand textured. The action has minor operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. This pistol is equipped with a Nighthawk Custom #4 Crisp Trigger Job. We have not fired this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in a green Nighthawk soft case with three 13-round magazines, paperwork including a manual and a Nighthawk test target, test shells, the original recoil spring, and the previously mentioned additional grips. Please note, no magazines will be included where prohibited by law.
Our Assessment: The Browning Hi-Power is a single-action, semi-automatic handgun available in the 9mm and .40 S&W calibers. It was based on a design by American firearms inventor John Browning, and completed by Dieudonné Saive at Fabrique Nationale (FN) of Herstal, Belgium. Browning died in 1926, several years before the design was finalized. FN Herstal initially named the design the “High Power”, which alludes to the 13-round magazine capacity, almost twice that of other designs at the time, such as the Luger or Colt M1911. This is a beautiful Nighthawk Custom Hi Power pistol manufactured in 2016 and customized in 2017. This is a truly gorgeous pistol. As stated on their website, “Nighthawk decided back in early 2015 not to try to re-invent the perfect double stack, but to improve upon the Browning Hi Power. This classic design offers perfect balance, size and fire power, with an impressive 13 round magazine capacity. We took one of the most revered pistols of all time and made it better.
