Markings: The top rear of the receiver is marked “RUGER / MINI-THIRTY / CAL 7.62×39”. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number, the “circled eagle” Ruger logo and the standard Ruger warning. The scope is marked “NIKON” and “Pro Staff”. The bottom of the two 5 round magazines are marked “RUGER / CAL. 7.62×39” and with the Ruger logo.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a tall ramped blade. The rear sight is a folding adjustable aperture at the rear of the receiver.
The receiver is topped with integral scope bases. Two scope rings hold the 4 – 12 variable power scope. The glass appears clear and the power ring functions. The scope assembly shows light handling marks. The scope assembly is in about Fine Plus condition.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The wood stock uses a metal & black polymer handguard. It has a pistol grip, metal nosecaps, through bolt, 2 sling loops and a plastic buttplate. The wood shows a few light compression and handling marks. The LOP measures 12 3/4 inches from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stock rates in about Fine overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. The metal shows light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: The rifle comes with a scope assembly; see above. The rifle comes with two 5 round magazines that show light marks. They are in Fine condition. A 30 round magazine is also included. It shows several small scrapes & scratches. It is in about Very Good Plus condition.
The 30 round magazine is not available to residents of California or any state with magazine capacity restrictions.
Our Assessment: This Ruger Mini-Thirty was made in 1995 but is still in great shape. The metal & wood finishes are in Fine condition and the bore is strong & bright. The rifle is topped with a nice Nikon scope that is also in Fine condition. The rifle comes with two 5 round magazines and a 30 round magazine.
The Mini-14 has been around for a long time with a solid user base and many available upgrades. The Mini 30 rifle has the same basic design but is chambered for the 7.62×39 cartridge. It makes a nice addition to a collection that already has a Garand or M1A as the operating system is essentially the same. Please see our photos and good luck.
