Our Assessment: The Model Seven is Remington’s attempt at a less expensive but high-quality bolt-action rifle. The main difference was the design of the receiver which is pretty much a miniaturized 700 receiver and is optimized for short action calibers. Upon picking up this rifle the quality is apparent and they certainly achieved making a high-quality rifle for a more budget-minded price. This one is chambered for .222 Remington, a caliber that was only available for two years. With its blued finish, beautiful walnut stock, rifle sights (rear sight missing), this will be a great rifle for your next hunt or target shooting outing. Please see our photos and good luck!
