Our Assessment: This is Smith & Wesson’s Model 22-4, it is a member of the Classics Series and was unveiled by the company as a reintroduction of the Model of 1950 .45. the revolver has a four-screw frame, 4″ barrel, blued finish, old-style thumbpiece, and service sights. The .45 ACP is still a popular caliber with a wide variety of ammunition available at reasonable prices (usually). This example is in about Excellent condition with about 98% of its original finish with only light handling wear and good mechanics. The bore hand mecahincs are stellar and this will be a fine shooter. Chambered in .45 ACP, this out to be a great revolver for target practice, home defense, or revolver competition.
