Markings: The left of the chamber ring is marked with the serial number and “MADE IN / CZECH REPUBLIC”, the left of the receiver is marked “CZ 527 AMERICAN” and with a CZ logo, the top of the receiver is marked “CZ-USA, KANSAS CITY, KS”. The right of the chamber ring and the right of the barrel at the rear are marked with a proof and “09”. The left rear of the barrel is marked “22 HORNET”.

Sights/Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The receiver is equipped with two CZ 527 scope rings (no scope is included).
Stock Configuration and Condition: The stock is one-piece checkered walnut with a pistol grip, straight comb, sling studs on the buttstock and forend, and textured black rubber CZ buttpad. The left side of the forearm at the front shows several tiny dings and a few light draglines toward the middle. Otherwise, only light handling marks are present. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 7/8? from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad, which shows scattered light discoloration. The stock rates in Fine-Plus overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are some light marks on the trigger guard. The bolt has stubborn dried cosmoline. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine-Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork, and Accessories: The rifle comes with a single 5-round magazine.
Our Assessment: CZ couldn’t have stated it better, “Whether you’re after varmints, medium game or just like to punch holes in paper, our micro-Mauser 527 can do the job. Built on a .223-length action, the tiniest of our centerfire platforms is also one of the most beloved by CZ fans. Chambered in a number of cartridges from .17 Hornet and .204 Ruger up to 6.5 Grendel and 7.62×39, it’ll take everything from small game to deer. The CZ 527 American features a classic American pattern stock, a sporter-weight hammer forged barrel, a single set trigger and a recessed target crown.” This rifle is in beautiful condition and the wear to the stock likely came by way of how it was stored.
