Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade set screwed into the top strap above the muzzle. The rear sight is a square-notch in the barrel latch.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are wood grip panels screwed to the grip frame and have H&R logo medallions in each panel. There is no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. The grips are in Excellent overall condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder locks in each position with no play when the trigger is pressed. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Harrington & Richardson Model 999 “Sportsman” revolvers have a devoted nearly cult following. They have a reputation for being as or more accurate than many more lustrous names, a premiere shooter at a workingman’s price! This particular revolver is in remarkable condition for a pistol of its vintage. Many a sportsman and shooter learned their skills on revolvers such as these. This one is in such nice condition that it is like stepping into the past when these could be purchased at the local “Western Auto” or hardware store, or bought over the counter.
