Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “SIG / SAUER” and “SIGARMS INC. / EXETER-NH”, the right side is marked “P226 / MADE IN GERMANY”. The right side of the barrel, visible through the ejection port is marked “9mm Para”, the left side of the chamber is marked “SIG SAUER”. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a white dot recess set in a dovetail at the muzzle. The rear sight is a square notch with a vertical white line underneath dovetailed at the rear of the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are textured black plastic panels with smooth borders which enclose the backstrap and leave the serrated front strap exposed. The right panel is marked “SIG SAUER”, the left panel is marked “P226”. The panels show handling wear but no major imperfections. There are no chips or cracks present. The grips rate in about Fine-Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. There is some stubborn fouling in the grooves.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are a couple faint lines on the sides of the frame and slide. The serrations are sharp. There is light thinning on the controls. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. This pistol features a de-cocker lever with the takedown lever and slide stop located on the left side. The double and single action pulls are smooth and crisp, with a rebounding hammer. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with two 15-round magazines and one 10-round magazine. Please note, no high capacity magazine will be included where prohibited by law.
Our Assessment: This is the legendary P226 from Sig Sauer, finished in matte black nitron, made in Germany in 1999. The durability, accuracy and effectiveness of this platform has been tried, tested and proven for decades now. According to Sig Sauer’s website, the pistol can chew through 10,000 rounds in a single day with no issues; we offer anyone to step up to the plate and survive 10,000 rounds of 9mm in one day just to prove them wrong.
