Markings: The right side of the slide is marked ”COLT GOVERNMENT MODEL”. The left side of the slide is marked “COLT GOLD CUP / -TROPHY-” and has the outline of a trophy cup. The right side of the frame is marked “COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A. / GV002738”. The barrel is marked “-COLT SUPER 38 AUTO NM-“. The left front of the trigger guard is marked with a “VP” proof and “A”. The grip panels are marked “COLT”.

Sights/ Optics: The front sight is a red fiber-optic rod dovetailed to the slide. The rear sight is a Colt branded Bo-Mar-Style square notch adjustable for windage and elevation in a base pinned to the rear of the slide. The top of the slide has a matte finish for glare reduction.
Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The grips are two-piece checkered grey and black G10 panels with smooth diamonds around the grip screws. The top diamond on the left panel is interrupted by a thumb-groove at the magazine release. The grips have no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright with sharp rifling. There is no erosion in the bore, but there are a few spots of stubborn fouling that should clean up easily.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is minor operational wear. Otherwise, there are only light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The slide to frame fit is snug. The single-action trigger is crisp. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, it may need a thorough cleaning to meet your maintenance standards.
Box Paperwork and Accessories: The pistol comes with its serial matched box, a single 9-round magazine, a Colt marked cloth to wrap the pistol in, a pad-lock with key and a user manual.
