The synthetic parts have only minor handling marks, but are otherwise free of any notable wear or damage. Our Assessment: The Ruger Precision Rifle was developed to put the same quality and accuracy of much more expensive rifles within reach of beginners who may not want to take out a second mortgage to build a long-range rifle, while still making it modular for those who want to upgrade parts. The rifle can use most AR-15 handguards and grips, and an after-market for barrels quickly sprang up, and the RPR has become one of the most popular precision rifles on the market. This example looks to have been purchased and seldom used, with little to no signs of use beyond the fouling in the bore. It is chambered for .243 Winchester, a classic cartridge well-suited to most hunting. This an ideal rifle for those wanting a good all around firearm with a modern look. Good luck and happy bidding!
