Our Assessment: For more than a century, Marlin’s 1894 has served as a popular pistol-caliber lever-action rifle. The design is still in production today and finds favor with both hunters and Cowboy Action Shooting competitors. This example is a Model 1894CB Cowboy Limited made with a 20” octagonal barrel and chambered for 45 Colt. The rifle is in about Very Good-Fine condition with most of its metal finish remaining and light wear in the stocks. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and only light surface erosion. With its smooth lever action, used with .45 Colt cartridges it is perfect for Cowboy Action Shooting or informal target practice. Lever action rifles are some of the most fun and will never lose their charm, this one is in nice condition making it a great “used” option. Please see our photos and good luck!
