Sights/Optics: There is no provision for iron sights on this rifle. The scope body is virtually free of wear and there is no damage. The included Butler Creek scope covers have left a bit of residue. The glass is fairly clear, and overall, the scope rates in Fine-plus condition.
Stock Configuration and Condition: The stock is a textured black composite with a fluted straight comb that has an added raised cheek piece, two 1/8” spacers, and a smooth black rubber buttpad. There are sling studs front and back. There are minor draglines and dings scattered about the composite, but nothing that disrupts the material. The LOP measures 14 1/2” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The buttpad has only light use wear. Overall, the stock is in Fine-plus condition.
Type of Finish: Stainless
Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is rather bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion, but minor stubborn fouling is scattered about the bore, most especially at the muzzle.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are just scattered handling marks and some evident handling wear. Screws have minor tool marks with strong slots, and all markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine-to-Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork, and Accessories: The scope as described above.
Our Assessment: Known originally as Tikkakoski, a company that sold a myriad of consumer goods and textiles, Tikka as it is better known made firearms as well under ownership of SAKO, another Finnish arms company. Tikkakoski is long defunct, but firearms are produced to this day under the Tikka brand name by Beretta USA. Reliable, inexpensive, and handsome, Tikka rifles are a favorite among modern shooters. This T3x is chambered for the massively popular 6.5 Creedmoor, and the composite stock is surely cool looking. Good luck and happy bidding!
