Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number “583-22956”, a two-line warning, the company’s phoenix logo, “®”, “STURM, RUGER & CO. INC. / NEWPORT, NH USA”. The top of the receiver is marked “RUGER® / RANCH RIFLE / 5.56 NATO”. The grip buttpad is marked with the company’s phoenix logo.

Sights/Optics: The front sight is a serrated ramped blade with protective ears integral to a banded base that is pinned to the front of the barrel. The rear sight is an adjustable ghost ring with protective ears that is fixed to the rear of the receiver. The receiver rib is notched for Ruger rings (none included).
Stock Configuration and Condition: The stock is a one-piece smooth wood with a polymer vented handguard, semi-pistol grip, straight comb, and black rubber buttpad. There are sling swivels on the buttstock and gas block. With the exception of a few minor handling marks, the stock is free of any notable wear or damage. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 3/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The buttpad is free of any notable wear or damage. Overall, the stock rates in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion, but some very minor stubborn fouling persists in spots.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. Beyond minor handling marks, their rifle is free of any notable wear or damage. Pins and screws are undamaged. All markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork and Accessories: This Mini-14 includes two (2) 20-round, and four (4) 30-round magazines and a black nylon sling.

Our Assessment: The Ruger Mini-14 is a classic American rifle that has seen use in most sectors, private and military, all over the world. In production currently, there have been many variants throughout its history—this rifle is a Ranch model made in 2015, chambered in 5.56 NATO.
