Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “MODEL MAG-10 – 10 GA. 3 1/2 IN. CHAMBER – PROOF TESTED / ITHACA GUN CO. INC., ITHACA. N.Y. – MADE IN USA – ROTO FORGED” and “FULL”. The right of the barrel is marked “- 10 GA. MAGNUM – / FOR 3 1/2 IN. MAGNUM SHELLS ONLY PATENT NO. 4014247”. The right of the receiver is marked with the serial number.

Sights / Optics: There is a white bead in a base at the front of the rib. The top of the rib is serrated and the top of the receiver is matte finished for glare reduction.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two piece checkered walnut with semi-beavertail forend, capped pistol grip, straight comb, basketweave textured orange rubber buttpad and sling studs front and rear with QD swivels holding a padded black and camouflage nylon sling. The stocks have some scattered light nicks, scuffs and scratches. The buttstock has some scattered spots of finish loss and thinning finish at the rear. The checkering is well defined. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 14 1/4″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the pad, 13 3/8″ to the back of the wood. Overall, the stocks are in Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 96% of its metal finish. The finish is thinning at most edges. The barrel’s finish is strong throughout with only a few minor marks. Most of the balance is in scattered minor scuffs and scratches on the receiver. There are a few spots of discoloration from oxidation in the top-left of the receiver. The action shows light operational wear. The pin heads are unmarred. The markings are clear and crisp. Overall, this shotgun rates in Very Good-Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun comes with the installed sling.
Our Assessment: The Ithaca Mag-10 was a purpose-built hunting shotgun, perfect for the longest shots on the biggest birds. Firing 3 1/2″ 10 gauge shells, it will throw a lot of lead out with each shot, and with its semi-automatic action, it can quickly follow up. The CounterCoil gas system built into the front of the gas system combined with a weight of nearly twelve pounds ought to help keep the recoil down. The weight will also help you appreciate the padding on the included sling when you’re out in the field! This shotgun is in Very Good-Fine condition and is ready to throw one heck of a lot of lead downrange. Please see our photos and good luck!
