Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q. / MADE IN JAPAN” and “NP” at the rear. The right side of the barrel is marked “PAT. 4723369 A-BOLT CAL. .30-06 ONLY”. The right rear shoulder of the receiver is marked with the serial number. The right shoulder of the receiver is marked “MEDALLION” in a banner. The shoulders of the receiver and the magazine floorplate are scroll engraved. The underside of the trigger guard is engraved with a gold filled Buckmark logo. The extractor is marked “NP”.

Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. Equipped to the top of the receiver via a two-piece rail system and two Weaver rings is a Burris LRS with 3.5-10x magnification and a ballistic plex reticle. The scope shows scattered light marks and the lenses are clear. Overall, the scope rates in about Fine condition.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is checkered walnut with a high gloss finish, rosewood nose and grip caps, straight comb, sling swivels in the forend and belly with an attached leather sling attached, and a solid black rubber press checkered Browning buttpad. The leather sling has a wide shoulder pad with three slots to hold extra rounds. There are evenly dispersed faint draglines and light compressions. There are no chips or cracks. The checkering is sharp. The LOP measures 13 5/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad which has some discoloration at the heel and along the sides. The stock rates in about Fine overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright and the rifling is sharp. There is some very faint erosion on the lands.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are a few faint marks near the muzzle and the bolt shows a faint plum hue with some light thinning on the knob. The screw heads are sharp and the markings are clear. This rifle rates in about Fine-Excellent overall condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger breaks crisp and clean. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with the installed scope as described, one 4-round detachable magazine, and a serial matching box.
Our Assessment: This is a very nice looking Browning A-Bolt Medallion left handed bolt action rifle built by Miroku in Japan and chambered in .30-06 Springfield. It features a high gloss finished walnut stock, a high luster blue barrel and scroll engraving on the shoulders of the receiver and the magazine floorplate. The stock has a high gloss finish with rosewood tipped forend and a rosewood grip cap. It was made without iron sights but has a Burris scope mounted on the receiver. The rifle is in Fine-Excellent condition with about 98% of its original finish remaining and some faint wear in the stock. This rifle looks to have spent more time in storage than out with little evidence of use. Please see our photos and good luck!
