Our Assessment: Produced as a limited edition for firearms distributor Talo, this is a “Silver Stallion”. With a special “TLE” prefix, the revolver has a nickel finish, 24k plated screws and two-piece smooth walnut grips. It is also interesting to note that the cylinder has a removable bushing, a feature reintroduced on some more recent 3rd Gen SAA revolvers. Intriguingly, the included Silver Stallion brochure indicates that only 200 of these revolvers were made, but this revolver’s serial number is 262, with some sources indicating that as many as 600 of these revolvers were actually made. In any case, it is a beautiful gun, more than suitable for addition to a collection. It would also make an attractive “BBQ Gun” or could be used in Cowboy Action Shooting competitions.
