Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “45 ACP”. The right side of the slide is marked “BAER / Custom”. The top of the chamber is marked “BAER 45 MATCH” and the bottom of the chamber is marked “556”. The right side of the frame is marked “LES BAER CUSTOM / HILLSDALE IL USA / LBC22556 ”. The interior of the slide is marked “SM22556”. The slide stop is marked “556”. The barrel bushing is marked “556” on the side and “7267718 / NM” on the front.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a Trijicon blade with a single tritium dot and is dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is a Trijicon flat-topped square notch target sight with a serrated rear face and a single tritium lamp below the notch, it is dovetailed and screw set to the slide. The lamps are dead.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered wood grips with double diamonds. There are some little dings through the finish, the most noticeable are on the right side on the bottom diamond. There are a few little areas of rub wear to the checkering. The grips rate in about Fine overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. There are some scattered scuffs and draglines, some of the most noticeable are on the left side of the slide towards the front. There are a few little scuffs on the matte portions. The right side of the extended magazine well is slightly bent downwards and has a small gap to the frame. There is operational wear. The screw heads are undamaged. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The slide is snug. The trigger is crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
