Mechanics (Both): The actions function correctly. The cylinders lock with light play at each stop. Each has a four-click hammer. We did not fire these revolvers. As with all used firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: The Frontier Scout is a scaled down version of its predecessors/grandfathers, the SAA and Frontier Six Shooter. Still made by Colt and true to the original design, this pair was made in 1957 and they are chambered in the ubiquitous .22 Long Rifle. These examples are in Fine and Fine-Plus condition respectively with light handling and operational wear, a great bore and strong mechanics. These revolvers were specially engraved with a previous owner’s name on the back strap. These should make a fun little dual-wielding plinkers if you’re into that sort of thing. They also may find interest with the Colt collectors. Prospective Cowboy Action Shooters would do well to place a bid for these! Please see our photos and good luck!
