Our Assessment: High Standard had a long history of manufacturing target pistols going back to before WWII, so they had lots of time to perfect the design. This is a Model Victor of the ML Series made in 1980 and has a 5 1/2? slab-side barrel. The only change made in this series was the model inscription on the gun, which changed from “THE VICTOR” to simply “VICTOR” and relocated to the left side of the frame. The pistol is in Fine-Plus condition with some scattered minor wear in the metal, a great bore, and strong mechanics. This should make someone an outstanding target pistol that should easily rival most of the newer target pistols being manufactured today. Please see our photos and good luck!
