Our Assessment: On offer here is the adjustable sighted cousin of Colt’s legendary Single Action Army, the New Frontier Single Action Army. While the original SAA revolvers have rugged, fixed sights, the New Frontier has a ramped front sight and adjustable rear sight, giving it a rather contemporary appearance. Still made by Colt and true to the original design, this one was made in 1971. This New Frontier model comes with a .22 LR and Magnum cylinder, giving the shooter options. This example is in Fine condition with a great bore and strong mechanics. The finish throughout is strong and beautiful showing some minor erosion and thinned areas. This should make a fun little plinker for the lucky winner. Please see our photos and good luck!
