Markings: The right side of the receiver is marked with the serial number, “m4”, and “BENELLI-ITALY”. The left side of the receiver is marked “BENELLI U.S.A. CORP.-ACCOKEEK MD.-MADE IN ITALY”. The bottom left of the receiver is marked with proofs and “CT” in a box. The bolt is marked “*BENELLI ARMI SYSTEM” and with two small proofs. The left side of the barrel is marked “BENELLI ARMI S.P.A.-URBINO-MADE IN ITALY”. The right side of the barrel is marked with “12 GA 3” – 76mm – FOR 2 ¾” OR 3” SHELLS / READ OWNERS MANUAL BEFORE USING GUN” and “TM20835X18”. The right side of the rear sight base is marked “LPA ITALY”.

Choke: Improved Modified Choke Installed. The barrel is threaded for interchangeable chokes. Extra chokes are included, see Accessories section.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a post with a white dot and is mounted between two protective ears. The front sight is adjustable for windage. The rear sight is a is a ghost ring sight with two white dots in a base with two protective ears screwed to the receiver, it is adjustable for windage and elevation. The top of the receiver is installed with a rail.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are black synthetic with a rubberized tactical pistol grip. The grip and the forearm are grooved. The buttstock has a straight comb and a sling bar on each side. The recoil pad is made of rubber. There are a few little rubs that have caused smooth spots. The LOP measures 14 1/4” from the trigger to the rubber recoil pad. The pad has light wear. The stocks rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are a few little marks around the ejection port. There is some faint operational wear. The pins are intact. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be required to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork& Accessories: Included is an aftermarket black hard case, Cylinder choke, extended Full choke, choke wrench, and oil.
Our Assessment: This Benelli M4 is in Excellent condition. This is a great shotgun that is used by the military; if you are lucky you can have one too. The Benelli M4 Tactical shotgun is a unique, Auto-Regulating Gas-Operated (A.R.G.O.) semi-auto. Originally designed in 1998 for the U.S. Marine Corps, the M4 (M1014) was extensively tested at the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland where it proved totally reliable for safety, function, and performance. The M4 Tactical is the combat service shotgun of the U.S. Joint Services today with its battle-proven reliability. It has a picatinny rail for mounting scopes, sights, and optics, and ghost-ring sights for quick target acquisition. For reliability when it counts, select the M4 Tactical shotgun.
