Markings: The left side of the top barrel is marked “WINCHESTER PIGEON GRADE XTR “Featherweight” – 12 GA – 3″ / EAST ALTON, IL. U.S.A.”. Each barrel has a Winchester Proof on the left just forward of the chamber with the top barrel marked “IM” and the bottom “IC”. The top of the rib is marked “WINCHESTER”. The right side of the barrel is marked “MADE IN JAPAN”. The bottom of the bottom barrel is marked “WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL”. The monoblock is marked “469205?. The barrel lug is marked “12-3” in oval. The top tang is marked “PK469205E”. The water table has a “WP” in oval proof. The forend hardware is marked “469205” and the inside wood is stamped “9205”. The rear of the forend iron is marked “9205”. The bottom of the receiver is marked “WINCHESTER” surrounded by scroll engraving. The receiver has scroll engraving and games scenes on the sides. t

Sights / Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a white bead in a base at the front of the rib and a smaller white mid-bead. The top of the rib is checkered to reduce glare.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered walnut with straight grip, straight comb, finger groove forend, and Winchester buttpad. There are a few little nicks through the finish, the most noticeable are on the left side of the forend at the front and left side of the buttstock up towards the comb. There are some scattered compressions, most noticeable on the wrist around the top tang, belly, and left side of the forend at the rear. There are some scuffs that have lightly thinned the finish. The checkering is generally sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 14” from the front of the trigger to the back of the recoil pad. The drop at the comb is about 1 1/2? and drop at heel is about 2 1/4?. The recoil pad is still fairly supple with no notable wear. The stocks rate in about Fine overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bores are bright. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 95% of its metal finish. There is some light handling wear on the receiver. There is some light thinning on the edges of the muzzles and there are a few little nicks into the metal on the edge of the top muzzle. There are a few scuffs on the barrels that have lightly thinned the finish, the most noticeable are on the right side of the top barrel towards the front. There are some scattered spots of frost and faint surface oxidation on the barrel set. There is minor operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly including ejectors. It has a single selective mechanical trigger. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: The iconic Model 101 Pigeon Grade is a shotgun with legendary styling and handling and the unquestionable reliability you expect from Winchester firearms. The Pigeon Grade features detailed engraving and wood stocks with beautiful grain. This shotgun features white bead sights, jeweled ejectors and a single selective trigger. With 25.5? barrels choked Improved Cylinder and Improved Modified, it should make for a great has handling hunting gun.
