Markings: The right side of the slide is marked “RAPIDE”. The right side of the frame is marked “KIMBER YONKERS NY USA / K776136” behind the slide stop pin. The top of the chamber visible through the ejection port is marked “.45 ACP”. The left side of the slide is marked “Kimber”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a green fiber optic insert surrounded by a blaze orange ring and is dovetailed to the front of the slide. The rear sight is a “U” notch sight with two green fiber optic inserts, a serrated rear face, and a square front face for one-handed slide racking. The rear sight is dovetailed and screw set to the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips two-piece black G-10 grips with Kimbers Rapide pattern. There are a few light handling marks, no major defects. Overall, the grips rate in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This gun retains about 97% of its metal finish. There is a small spot of finish loss on the left side of the slide next to the markings. The bottom of the magazine well extension has some little spots of discoloration. The grip screws are undamaged. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol rates in Fine Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The slide to frame fit is snug with no play. This pistol does not have a series 80 safety. The trigger is crisp. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your standards.
Box & Accessories: This pistol comes with four 8-round Kimber magazines, paperwork including the manual, and a serial matching hard case.
Our Assessment: For 40 years, Kimber has been producing some of the finest 1911-style pistols in America and this is no exception. This particular pistol comes packed with features such as front and rear slide serrations, extended beavertail grip safety, rod, skeletonized hammer and trigger, textured front and backstraps, a DLC coated barrel for durability, G10 grips, and of course, Kimber quality. This example is in Fine Plus condition showing signs of light use and comes with four magazines. This is a beautiful gun in high condition and would make an excellent addition to any collection, but where it will really shine is in competition shooting such as single-stack division in USPSA or bowling pin matches.
