Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “SAVAGE Model 110 338 Lapua Mag CALIBER / SAVAGE ARMS INC, WESTFIELD, MA 01085” and a Savage factory warning. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number “J287110”. The bolt is marked with a Savage logo and “Savage”.
Barrel Length: 24” Fluted, 28 1/2” to the end of the installed muzzle brake.
Sights/Optics: There is no provision for iron sights on this rifle. The receiver is drilled and tapped for the attached picatinny rail.
Stock Configuration and Condition: The stock is an H-S Precision Long Action one-piece black fiberglass with pistol grip, straight comb, and black rubber buttpad. There is a sling stud on the buttstock and two sling studs on the forend, one for mounting a Harris-style bipod. There are very minor handling marks on the comb, but otherwise the stock is free of any notable wear or damage. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 1/2” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The buttpad shows light wear in the smooth areas. Overall, the stock rates in Fine-plus condition, as not original to the gun.

Bore Condition: The bore is semi-bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion, but light stubborn fouling persists throughout.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. There are very minor handling marks, but otherwise most of the metal surfaces are free of any notable wear or damage. It is worth noting that the brake has quite a bit of copper fouling and a bit of surface oxidation. Screws show light tool marks with strong slots, and all markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine-to-Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: Savage has been making firearms of all varieties for nearly 130 years, and the 110 series is for all intents and purposes a ‘value’ or ‘budget’ line of rifles. In this case, ‘budget’ can be taken with a grain of salt, and the word certainly isn’t an indicator of quality. When a company has been making firearms as long as Savage has, they have in their corner a level of infrastructure and manufacturing capability that few companies do. The 110FCP is an affordable sniper rifle that uses Savage’s modular action system to easily accommodate the larger case head diameter of the .338 Lapua cartridge, which in the case of many other rifles, requires some special modifications to achieve the same functionality. This example is in wonderful shape with the most notable wear being in the muzzle brake, which some TLC will make a huge improvement. Good luck and happy bidding!
