Our Assessment: This Springfield Armory Model 1898 Krag Rifle was made back in 1900. The rifle has seen some use but is a 122 year old service rifle. The metal has been refinished and the wood has been oiled so it looks good for its age. The rifle has nice marks on the receiver & stock which add to its history. This 1898 Krag can still do lots of work out at the range. Good luck.
