Markings: The bottom of the dust cover is marked “STI INTERNATIONAL / GEORGETOWN, TX USA”. The top of the chamber is marked “.45 ACP”. The right side of the frame is marked “2011” and with the serial number. The right side of the slide is marked with the STI Texas logo. The left side of the slide is marked “STI V.I.P.”.
Barrel Length: 3.9” Bull Barrel
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a Trijicon blade with a tritium insert, it is dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is an STI adjustable lo-mount square notch with a serrated rear face it, it is dovetailed into the slide. The front sight lamp is dim.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The trigger guard and grip frame are one piece, made of black polymer and have a checkered pattern, double diamonds, and STI logos. There are a few scattered light handling marks, no major defects. The checkering is mostly sharp. The grip rates in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion but there are traces of stubborn carbon fouling in the grooves that should clean up with patient cleaning.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 97% of its metal finish. There are some scattered little draglines and handling marks. There are a few scuffs that have caused smooth spots, the most noticeable is on the left of the slide at the front. There is standard operational wear. The grip screws are undamaged and the markings are clear. Overall, this pistol rates in about Fine-Excellent condition.
Mechanics: This pistol has an adjustable trigger, crisp trigger, short reset, strong mainspring, skeletonized hammer & trigger, and the grip safety has a rise to index one’s palm correctly each time. The slide and frame have superb mating and is very smooth. The action functions correctly. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with two flush fit 10-round magazines, one 126mm 10-round magazine, and an MCM hardcase.
Our Assessment: The 1911 and 1911-A1 pistols served the military of the United States from 1911 to 1985, through two World Wars and the Korean and Vietnam wars. They gained a reputation as a reliable handgun with plenty of stopping power, and are held in high regard by those who have used them. The design is one of the most beloved and has gone through many design changes such as modular frames like this V.I.P. from STI. The V.I.P. was introduced in 2001 in 9mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP and features a 2011 double stack modular grip, 3.9” bull barrel, skeletonized hammer & trigger, extended thumb safety, STI Recoil Master system, an indexing bump beavertail safety, and angled rear slide serrations. This one is in great shape and was well taken care of with some minor wear.
