Our Assessment: The Ruger Blackhawk has been in continuous production since 1955 and has been widely adopted by single-action shooters and handgun hunters for roughly four generations now. It has been redesigned, revised, and updated several times, and has been chambered for all manner of cartridges. This example was manufactured only in 1990 for the now defunct Buckeye Sports of Canton, Ohio. Ruger has a long history of distributor and retailer exclusives. Included are two cylinders, one for 10mm Automatic and another for .38-40 Winchester, making for a revolver that is ready for action shooting or as a sidearm while hunting. The stag grips are handsome, and the original packaging is a welcome sight. There is a good reason Ruger revolvers have stood the test of time, and should you be lucky enough to win this one, you will instantly see why. Good luck and happy bidding!
