Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “Lilja 10-22 17 HMR” in a cursive script. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number, “290-41416” and “RUGER®”, “MODEL 10/22 CARBINE / .22 WIN. MAG. R.F.”, a Ruger phoenix logo, and “®”. The bottom of the magazine is marked “RUGER” over the company’s phoenix logo.
Barrel Length: 20” fluted heavy barrel with recessed crown
Sights/Optics: There is no provision for iron sights on this rifle. The receiver has two small integral ribs for mounting Ruger rings (no rings are present).
Stock Configuration and Condition: The stock is an aftermarket smooth laminate wood with semi-pistol grip, straight comb, and a checkered Revolution buttpad. There are only minor handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 1/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The buttpad has only minor handling wear. Overall, the stock rates in Excellent condition, as not original to the gun.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are minor handling marks on the metal surfaces and the top of the receiver has scattered minor nicks and scuffs. The markings are clear. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine-to-Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. A post has been added to the magazine release to aid in removal. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork, and Accessories: This customized 10/22 includes one (1) 10-shot rotary magazine and a set of Ruger 1″ rings.
Our Assessment: A quintessential .22 rifle, the Ruger 10/22 has long been gifted to youngsters as a symbol of their passage into being adults, and serves as a gateway to the fantastic world of firearm ownership and collecting. This custom rifle is in overall Fine-to-Excellent condition, with hardly any wear. From 2003, this 10/22 has been customized by the altogether pleasant Lilja family of Indiana with a .17 HMR barrel. 10/22 rifles are endlessly customizable, and this example makes a simple plinker into something rather elegant.
