Sights / Optics: Each barrel is mounted with a white bead at the front of the vent rib.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered deluxe walnut with beavertail finger grooved forend, fluted straight comb, pistol grip, and aftermarket black rubber buttpad. The top of the wrist has what looks like a tiny hairline crack at the tang. There are a few scattered scuffs, little draglines, and light compressions. There is a gap between the forend iron and forend. The checking is sharp. The LOP measures 13 1/2? from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad, 13? to the back of the wood. The pad has some wear but no major defects. The drop at comb is about 1 1/2?, drop at heel is about 2?. The cast is about neutral. Overall, the stocks are in about Fine Plus condition.

Type of Finish: Blue

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bores are bright. Some have some fouling that will clean out.

Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 97% of its metal finish. The selector lever is not installed but comes included. The bottom of the receiver has some scuffs that have thinned the finish. There are a couple of little dings on the left side of the receiver. The trigger plate has some little spots of finish loss. The trigger guard has some thinning on the edges. The barrels all have light handling marks with thinning on the edges of the barrel hanger and muzzle. The barrels each have a couple little nicks and marks through the finish. The pinheads are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Fine Plus condition.

Mechanics: The barrel selector is not installed but comes included, the action functions correctly. This was sent back to Remington to upgrade the internals indicated by the “.” in the serial number and Allen bolts at the breechface. The barrels lock-up to the receiver with no play. The trigger is mechanically operated. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a carry case, the described barrels, Remington buttpad, and the barrel selector. The carry case is missing its handle.

Our Assessment: This is one of the few over-under shotgun models ever produced by Remington. The design is essentially the same as the Krieghoff model 32 and the fit and finish isn’t far off from a Krieghoff, either. This shotgun is in about Fine Plus condition with 97% of its finish remaining, good bores, and good mechanics. This 3200 Competition Skeet comes with four barrel sets and will be a great addition for anyone serious about dusting clays. This is a phenomenally made shotgun that will be serving its new owner well for decades to come. Please see our photos and good luck!
